Caput Medusae Air Plant

12.00 18.00

Large Caput Medusae air plants are a flowering plant in the bromeliad family. This is my favorite kind of air plant because of its shape! The tendril-like arms continue to grow, getting longer and sometimes even curl. The body is covered with small white hairs which soak up moisture in the air.

The large caputs measure roughly 7" long and will continue to grow bigger with care!

Tillandsia (air plants) do not require soil and prefer to have their roots exposed for proper airflow. Perch your airplant on a shelf, in a bowl with sand, or from a hanger. Keep in bright, ambient light- keep out of direct sun. Fluorescent lights also work! I recommend misting tillandsia 3 times per week, as they originate in very humid environments!

*Please note that copper is highly toxic to all airplants!
